A big thank you to Bergen Shipowners’ Association (Bergens Rederiforening) for an incredible collaboration and a highly successful event on Thursday, 7th of November. The evening was a fantastic blend of engaging presentations, insightful discussions and valuable networking.
Kristoffer Ramstad from Odfjell SE opened the seminar by sharing Odfjell’s digitalization journey. He highlighted the company’s effort in developing software solutions from the ground up, emphasizing how these developments have connected ship and shore.
Next, Camilla Heggøy from DOF provided an insightful presentation on how they used digitalization to improve performance evaluation by leveraging data. She also stated the importance of capturing essential data from vessels and highlighted that “It is hard to improve what you can’t measure”.
To finish of the seminar, Kristin Helen Andersen from G2 Ocean delivered a highly perceptive presentation on cyber security. She explained how digitalization has transformed the IT infrastructure and how the IT security landscape has evolved over the past years, offering an informative perspective on current challenges.
