Vessel Visit at GMC Yard - 12.05.2026

Dear YoungShippers,

We are pleased to invite you to a truly unique vessel and shipyard visit on Tuesday, May 12th! This is a fantastic opportunity to get up close with some of the most exciting players in the maritime industry.

We are lucky to be offered guided tours at the GMC shipyard by CEO Arild Stølen and go on board Stril Neptun – the newest addition to Simon Møkster’s fleet.

As an extra highlight, if we are lucky, we may also get the chance to visit Nexans Aurora, the world’s largest cable-laying vessel, currently in dry dock!

📍 Location: GMC Yard, Nyhavnsveien, 4077 Hundvåg
🕒 Time: 17:30 – Please meet outside the gate 10 minutes prior to the event

  • There are limited spots available, so make sure to secure your place quickly!
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) (helmet, safety shoes, and vest) must be brought. Please indicate in the sign-up form if you do not have PPE.

We are inviting to an amazing GATHERING with food and drinks 🍺 We want you to join us to create an amazing atmosphere, meet new people and old friends.
We hope as many as possible are able to take the time and enjoy the evening together with us🚢⚓️
There will be served complimentary food, wine/beer and good conversations. Dress code is Business Casual
