YoungShip was founded in Bergen in 2004 as an informal networking arena for young professionals in the local community. What began as casual after-work meetups quickly evolved into a global movement which led to the formal establishment YoungShip International. Today, YoungShip has developed branches across the world connecting around 2,500 members worldwide.

YoungShip Bergen remains one of the most active branches within the network, offering a wide range of social and educational events. Our mission is to provide a platform where members can exchange knowledge, acquire valuable skills, and build lasting professional connections within the maritime industry. We aim to enhance the skills and knowledge of young maritime professionals through our events and active participation in industry projects and initiatives.

Our activities are made possible through annual membership fees, partnerships with local businesses, and event sponsorships. From our popular monthly ‘Ankerdram’ gatherings to large-scale educational events and informal social meetups, YoungShip Bergen offers numerous opportunities for engagement and growth.
