The aim of these working groups is to support global YoungShip branches in actualising their IMO mandates of empowering future maritime leaders.
YoungShip International aims to promote, inspire, and engage young professional minds towards the development of maritime and ocean sector.
We are applying for consultative status to provide a unique voice of the youth in the maritime industry through Youth Development Programme. It is also our quest of complementing IMO inclusion and diversity agenda to address the global dearth of professionals in the maritime and ocean sector. Youngship have and/ will contribute actively to IMO contemporary issues including decarbonisation efforts, seafaring rights & welfare, autonomy & digitalisation, blue economy and sustainable shipping amongst others.
