About YoungShip Greece
We welcome members (between the age of 20 to 35) from all areas of the industry (from students to established professionals) who share our passion and our belief that young people are the most significant constituent to ensure our industry’s ongoing growth and success.
The main objectives of YoungShip Greece would be to:
- Provide its members with a leading platform and opportunity to increase interaction among young professionals within the maritime industry and strengthen their connections with other members;
- Provide a forum for members to develop their industry knowledge and understanding;
- Promote young Greek professionals to the global maritime community and create a hub where young professionals can connect with a company that will offer them valuable experience in the scope of an educational programme;
- Support education and promote the maritime industry to local schools/universities;
- Encourage the exchange and recording of information/ideas within the wider maritime community;
- Offer career guidance to young maritime professionals;
- Developing the younger generations’ knowledge and interest for environmental developments, innovation and entrepreneurship and further professional development.
In return, all the above are tools that will provide the maritime industry with a motivated generation of young professionals in the years to come.
The aim would be to run regular networking and social gatherings, arrange educational events that may range from evening panel discussions, short talks/seminars, or even onsite visit/educational trips.
As a not-for-profit organisation, our activities are primarily financed through support from various maritime businesses as well as from contributions from the members of the association (in the form of a low-cost yearly membership fee).
Please do not hesitate to contact us, should you require any further information about the organisation or about becoming a member.
