Every cup of coffee has a story. But have you ever wondered how coffee travels from remote plantations across oceans and continents before reaching your local cafรฉ, supermarket or office?

Join us for Beyond Your Cup: The Maritime Journey of Coffee, an exclusive evening exploring the fascinating maritime and logistics chain behind one of the world’s most traded commodities. Mrs. Tamara Tanghe, Director of Commodity Centre, will guide us through the journey of coffee, from origin to roastery, highlighting the crucial role of shipping, ports, storage, and supply chain management along the way.

To make the experience even more immersive, the lecture will take place in the heart of a working coffee warehouse, surrounded by the very commodity at the centre of the discussion. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the warehouse, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at how coffee is handled, stored, and prepared for its next step in the supply chain.

ย

After the lecture and warehouse visit, continue the conversation during a networking reception featuring specialty coffee tastings and coffee-inspired cocktails, freshly prepared by a Koffika, our live barista.

Whether you’re passionate about shipping, logistics, commodities, or simply great coffee, this event offers the perfect blend of insights, networking, and unique flavours. Join us as we explore the journey of coffee from bean to cup, and discover the maritime world hidden behind every sip.
