Our essay program for young maritime professionals recently concluded, and we were privileged to have a panel of expert jurors with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of maritime. As part of their commitment to promoting youth development, they shared some invaluable advice for youth.

The Youth Development Committee is thrilled to announce that Soumya Sharma has been selected as the winner of our essay program for young writers. Her essay was exceptional and demonstrated a deep understanding of the topic, as well as outstanding writing skills.

We want to thank all the participants who submitted their essays for this program. Your contributions were insightful and inspiring, and we are honored to have received them.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our jurors, who devoted their time and expertise to reviewing the submissions and providing valuable feedback to the young maritime professionals.

As the winner of our essay program, Soumya Sharma will receive a free e-learning course by Maritime Trainer Company.

The Youth Development Committee is pleased to have organized this event and hopes to continue it in the future, inspiring more young people to showcase their writing abilities. Congratulations once again to Soumya Sharma for her outstanding achievement!

This week we attended the Norwegian Shipowners' Association’s Annual Conference themed 'Uncharted Waters', where industry leaders gathered to discuss the challenges facing shipping and explore opportunities for positive change. We live in uncertain times, and the conference highlighted the importance of navigating these challenges together.

Congratulations to Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s Orced Wind project for winning the Heyerdahl Award, and we are proud to be part of an industry committed to sustainability and innovation.
